UNJSPF News: Message from Mr. Sudhir Rajkumar, Representative of the Secretary-General (RSG) for UNJSPF Investments
29 November 2019
|Since I took on the role of the RSG for Investments on 1 January 2018, I have expressed my strong commitment to proactive communication with all stakeholders. In pursuit of this commitment, I have met regularly with Staff Pension Committees and their Secretaries, with UN and other member organizations’ staff, with staff representatives, with various retiree organizations and their representatives, with UNJSPF staff, in New York, Geneva, other Agency headquarters in Europe and Canada, and in places as far apart as Bangalore, Tokyo, and Manila. I have consciously added stakeholder meetings to my agenda whenever I go on official business travel — and sometimes to my vacation travel — even if it involves going a bit out of my way to add stops to my itinerary. During these interactions, many of you have provided positive feedback about the new website of the Office of Investment Management (OIM) (https://oim.unjspf.org).|
Many have also requested that I communicate proactively with stakeholders on investment matters through direct e-mail communication, as and when appropriate. Accordingly, this message is to alert UNJSPF stakeholders that going forward, you may receive email communications directly from me from time to time. I intend to use this channel of communication sparingly, but hopefully in a manner that leads to stakeholders feeling more connected to the Office of Investment Management and aware of how investment matters may affect their interests. For those seeking more detailed investment information, please visit OIM’s website which is regularly updated to reflect developments related to the investments of the Fund.
